Experience Colombia with all your senses at Hacienda Combia in the heart of Quindío—surrounded by lush nature and located in a region known for some of the world’s finest coffees. In addition to the interactive coffee experience, where you’ll discover the journey from coffee cherry to cup and learn more about traditional farming methods, a special cultural highlight awaits you: the Quimbaya pottery workshop. In this approximately 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll delve into the history of the pre-Columbian Quimbaya culture, known for its extraordinary gold and pottery artistry. Using the same clay that has shaped the region for centuries, you’ll create your own work of art—a unique souvenir and a creative connection to the history and culture of the Colombian coffee region. Beverages are included.

Another highlight is the birdwatching experience: Together with an English-speaking guide, you’ll explore the impressive birdlife along three routes through the coffee plantations. Colorful species and harmonious songs await you in the early morning. The tour lasts about 3 hours, starts at 6:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m., and includes a take-away breakfast, drinks, and binoculars; it takes place in a small group with other guests.

In addition, the hacienda offers a cooking class (approx. 2 hours) where, under guidance, you’ll prepare a typical regional dish, enjoy it afterward, and take the recipe home as a souvenir.
