Caribbean Coast Inspection
At the beginning of the month, nine members of the Kiubo team spent 10 days exploring Colombia’s Caribbean Coast on an inspection trip full of discoveries, unforgettable landscapes, and unique experiences that we’ll soon be sharing with our travelers.
From the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to Cartagena, we
discovered new experiences and accommodations. We had the privilege of
connecting with the Kogi and Arhuaco communities, visiting a cacao farm,
joining in artisanal fishing on the Don Diego River — which we also went down
by kayak and paddle board — and immersing ourselves in the cultural richness of
the region.
On our way to Barranquilla, we stopped in Ciénaga to
visit the stilt villages of Nueva Venecia and Buenavista, where we were
welcomed with traditional dances and local handicrafts.
Once we arrived in Cartagena, we explored the city
from a new perspective with an art and architecture tour, an exclusive Dictador
rum tasting (the best rum in Colombia!), and wrapped things up with a street
food tour.
Of course, in each of these destinations we visited
and reviewed the hotels to continue ensuring quality, authenticity, and magic
in every trip.
Stay tuned for the next newsletter!
We’ll soon be sharing new products inspired by this trip, with combinations we
believe will be truly unique and memorable for our travelers.
