New Product Near Cali – The "Brujitas" in the Rainforest of San Cipriano
Today, we want to introduce you to a new discovery we made on our inspection trip through southern Colombia: the "Brujitas" of San Cipriano. To reach this location, we traveled from Cali almost to the Pacific coast near Buenaventura.
Here is the product description from Kiubo Colombia:
To reach San Cipriano, we travel two hours from Cali towards the Pacific. The climate becomes increasingly hot and humid. San Cipriano is a magical place, in the middle of an untouched tropical rainforest, surrounded by natural waterfalls, trails, and the clearest and purest rivers, ideal for swimming, snorkeling, tubing, and kayaking.
To reach this little paradise, we take a so-called 'Brujita', a type of wooden platform with ball bearings that is placed on the tracks of the former train that used to pass through there and is powered by a motorcycle.
In about 25 minutes, we travel through the canopy of the rainforest and over abandoned bridges, finally arriving at the small village of San Cipriano.
We walk through the village, leave our valuables in a safe place, and head with only the essentials to the nearby natural pools and waterfalls. We reach the crystal-clear river and have the opportunity to float on an inflatable tube towards San Cipriano. There, a typical Pacific lunch (included) awaits us. The entire tour takes approximately 10 hours.
Note: The tour is only offered from Monday to Saturday.
