The beautiful view from the Coffee Hacienda
Here's the product description:
In the morning, after breakfast, we depart from the hotel in Bogota towards Choachi, situated at a pleasant altitude of 1900 meters above sea level. En route, we make a stop at one of Bogota's foothills, Cerro Guadalupe, which stands at approximately 3300 meters. From here, we enjoy an excellent panoramic view of Bogota's entire savanna. With some luck, we may even catch a glimpse of the snow-capped volcanoes of the central Andean range. Continuing, we pass through the Paramo de Cruz Verde. The ecosystem of the "paramo" is unique in South America and plays a significant role in Bogota's water supply. Descending from here, we arrive at Choachi. In the morning, we visit the tranquil village of Choachi, have a coffee at the main plaza, and visit a social project that combines the inclusion of people with disabilities with ecological agriculture. Following this, we head to the nearby coffee hacienda "La Campesina" for lunch. The house recommendation is the typical Ajiaco, a potato soup with sour cream and capers. Over approximately 2 hours, we get to know the entire coffee hacienda and the whole process of organic coffee cultivation. After a brief stop in the village of Choachi, we begin our journey back to Bogota.
Duration of the tour: approx. 10 hours
