New hotel in the Coffee Region: El Nido del Condor

Today, we want to introduce you to a spectacular hotel in the Coffee Zone, located between Pereira and Manizales. Translated as the "Nest of the Condor," the hotel is situated in close proximity to two fully grown Andean condors, living in a protected area on a steep slope. When the thermals are right, you can observe both condors in flight.

View of the active volcano "Nevado del Ruiz"

El Nido del Condor is approximately an hour away from Manizales, and it takes about two hours from Pereira. The best way to reach the hotel is with a capable 4x4 vehicle. The hotel is perched on a spectacular plateau at around 2200 meters above sea level, accessible by a small cable car. For those not comfortable with heights, there's also an option to reach it on foot within 25 minutes.

The Hotel "Nido del Condor"

The hotel features six well-equipped safari glamping tents surrounded by lush flower gardens. Hot water is available, and binoculars are provided to observe the birdlife or the nearly 6000-meter-high, active, ash-emitting Nevado del Ruiz volcano.

Glamping at "Nido del Condor"

It is recommended to opt for the full board when booking. The hotel itself offers a variety of excursions, making additional trips to the region seemingly unnecessary: bird watching, horseback riding, hikes to nearby waterfalls, mountain bike tours. There's a lot to explore at Nido del Condor.
